Elkton Water Restoration After HVAC Leak

SERVPRO of Cecil County received a call from a homeowner in Elkton after their heating and air system in the attic had leaked.  Water had made its way down the walls of all three floors of the home.  The drywall was significantly affected, and was beginning to show signs of wood rot and mold.

Our water restoration professionals went out immediately to help with the damages.  We tore out the affected baseboard and flooring in addition to the drywall, paneling and insulation.  Once this debris was safely disposed of, we placed our specialized SERVPRO air movers and dehumidifiers in order to dry the structure to IICRC standards.  We then treated the areas with Sporociden to prevent secondary damage to the home.    

The homeowner was very satisfied with our crew and services, and we are currently working with them on coordinating repairs.  We were happy to leave a great impression during an overwhelming experience!
